The Wildcard allows any brewery that is a member of the Brewers Association to compete for a spot in the final round of the Skunkworks Lounge competition. Breweries register their beer, and the public votes through check-ins on Untappd. The beer with the most check-ins earns the Wildcard spot and will compete alongside the top Curated Craftsmen and the previous year’s winner at the final round during the Craft Brewers Conference.
Rules
- Must be a member of the Brewers Association.
- The submitted beer must use at least one Abstrax Hops product.
- Registration details must be provided including beer name, Abstrax products used, and brewery information.
- The beer must be listed on Untappd by December 20th.

- Registration opens: November 11th
- Registration closes: December 15th
- Deadline to upload beer to Untappd: December 20th
- Public Voting Open: January 13th - February 15th
- Wildcard Winner announced internally by email: February 17th
- Wildcard Winner announced publicly on social: March 11th
- Beer Shipping Deadline for Wildcard Winner (2 barrels for CBC): March 1st*
*Shipping deadline depends on CBC requirements which are still TBD
